About Us

BAKE LOVE, NOT HATE is an Oakland, CA-based fundraising event to support the Asian American Pacific Islander community and raise funds and awareness in light of recent hate crimes across the nation.

Join the BAKE LOVE, NOT HATE cause and get involved!

May 1, 2021, from 12:00-6:00 PM at 59 Grand Ave. in Oakland.

Buy mouth-watering baked goods from world-class Bay Area bakers like Boichik Bagels and Firebrand Artisan Breads, as well as local favorites like Annie’s T Cakes, Two Chicks in the Mix, Ono Bakehouse, and so many more! But WAIT…

This is no ordinary bake sale. In addition to our bake sale, we’ll have some amazing local vendors selling their goodies for our cause as well! We’re talking vendors like Good To Eat Dumplings, Ube Area, Kube Nice Cream… you get the idea. Gear up for a day of community, music, and amazing food, all while supporting the AAPI community!

Friday April 30, 12:00 PM PST through Sunday May 2, 11:59 PM PST

Our online auction will feature products, services, gift cards, and experiences (from Levis, Vans Vault, Pt. Reyes Farmstead Cheese, Taylor Stitch, Tellason, and more) that you actually want, and support a cause you care so much about.

Partnering businesses will graciously dedicate a small portion of their proceeds to our cause and combatting systemic racism. Stay updated on our Instagram for some of your favorite participating businesses!

100% of the proceeds from all components will benefit AAPI Women Lead (empowering AAPI women and girls through leadership programs), Asian Prisoner Support Committee (supporting API prisoners and raising awareness about disproportionate rates of imprisonment, detainment, and deportation in our community), Hate Is A Virus (amplifying awareness of AAPI discrimination and hate crimes while standing in solidarity with our BIPOC siblings), and API Equality РNorthern California (building queer, transgender, and nonbinary API power and communities) and EBALDC, our fiscal sponsor.
